Bigger and Better

Szilárd and Greg began searching. No longer did they peruse inconvenient places on the edge of town. They were searching for a place in the heart of Budapest, in reach of the heavily trafficked ring roads that arc throughout the city.

One day they stumbled upon an old grimy, well-worn factory about 100 feet from one of the busiest intersections of the city, called Oktogon. When they walked through the site, Greg calculated how many chairs they could set up in the big room. It came out to 250!

It certainly lacked the charm of the first place, but the location was incredible. It was bigger and better. He discovered the asking price was $400,000, so he continued his fundraising campaign as Szilárd proceeded to make an offer, by faith.

The seller accepted the offer! Greg beamed with excitement. This was really finally happening! Szilárd and Greg headed over to the office to make the down payment and sign the papers. But when they arrived, the sellers informed them that they sold the building to someone else that very morning.
